Coaching Good and Heartfelt Hugs were born out of a shared passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Founded by Greg and Micki Amsler, our mission is deeply rooted in compassion, mentorship, and the belief that every person and child deserves to feel important, valued, and loved.
“The rearview mirror is small, but the windshield is large. Let’s focus on what’s ahead.”

Our Mission
Our mission is to restore hope, rebuild lives, and remind every child and adult that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten. Coaching Good walks alongside men rebuilding their lives after addiction or incarceration, while Heartfelt Hugs brings joy and connection to their children through thoughtful, personalized gifts and messages of love.
Greg’s Story
Greg’s journey of service began after his career as an NFL running back with the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants. Transitioning from professional sports, Greg combined his leadership skills with his degree in Horticulture & Landscape Design, managing and restoring prestigious golf courses, including the world-renowned Cypress Point Golf Club. He later founded a successful internet marketing company, working with clients across the country.
Greg’s real calling, however, came with the creation of Coaching Good — a nonprofit helping men rebuild their lives. Over the past decade, Greg has mentored hundreds of men recovering from addiction, including former inmates.
Through Coaching Good, Greg encourages them to write the rest of their story starting today. He inspires individuals to learn from the past but not dwell on it, reminding them, “The rearview mirror is small, but the windshield is large. Let’s focus on what’s ahead.”
Micki’s Story
Micki brings a wealth of experience from her career in merchandising and product development. Her professional journey began at Gottschalks Department Store headquarters, where she developed a strong foundation in retail operations, buying, and merchandising.
She then joined The Pebble Beach Company, refining her skills in luxury goods and customer engagement. Later, she joined Disney Consumer Products, where she focused on children’s apparel and accessories, ensuring products reflected current trends while upholding Disney’s high standards.
As a mother, Micki’s heart has always been sensitive to the emotional needs of children. Her inspiration for Heartfelt Hugs stems from the belief that every child deserves to feel cherished — especially during difficult seasons of life.
Why We Care
As parents ourselves, we understand how powerful love, attention, and encouragement can be in a child’s life. This empathy drives Heartfelt Hugs to ensure that children affected by addiction or hardship feel seen and valued.
Together, Coaching Good and Heartfelt Hugs represent our family’s commitment to serving both adults and children in need. Whether walking alongside individuals rebuilding their lives or bringing joy to children facing adversity, we are honored to share this journey of hope and transformation with you.
